Mount Calvary Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to support impactful organizations and programs by distributing grants in three focus areas:

  • Mount Calvary Lutheran Church for mission alined programs not funded in the Church’s operating budget

  • Community Organizations

  • International Projects

The Foundation was founded in 1989 by a group of church members who had a vision of giving back to the community through a grant based program.

All members of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church are also members of the Foundation. The Foundation is led by a 13 - member board.

From our humble beginnings we have grown our annual grants from $500 to $55,000 (2026 budget). Grants are funded through a portion of the earnings from our endowment. Since inception, our endowment has increased to nearly $1,000,000 and we have distributed over $625,000 in grant awards.
